ITC To Mull Barium Chloride Anti-Dumping Duty

Law360, New York (October 7, 2009, 1:42 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has agreed to launch its third review of an anti-dumping duty on Chinese-imported barium chloride to determine whether lifting the duty would hurt the domestic market for the chemical compound.

The ITC said Monday that it voted to conduct a full, five-year “sunset” review of the anti-dumping duty on barium chloride from China.

Unless the U.S. Department of Commerce and the ITC determine that revoking the duty would spur dumping, subsidies or injury, the Uruguay Round Agreements Act requires the DOC...
