EPA, Texas Enviro Leaders Hash Out Clean Air Program

Law360, New York (October 8, 2009, 4:01 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency met in Austin Thursday with Texas environmental officials to discuss long-standing disagreements over the state's proposed clean-air permitting program.

The EPA sat down with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, as well as environmentalist groups and business leaders, for the first time since announcing on Sept. 8 that it planned to disapprove the public participation portion of the state's proposed program.
