Sunoco Settles EPA Case Over Waste Violations

Law360, New York (October 12, 2009, 4:14 PM EDT) -- Sunoco Inc. will pay $148,300 to settle allegations it violated hazardous waste regulations at one of its refineries in eastern Pennsylvania, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has announced.

The EPA said Friday that the company had violated the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act by failing to store hazardous waste properly and keep proper records at its facility in Marcus Hook, Pa., near the Delaware border.
