5th Circ. Affirms Tossing Of State Farm Katrina Suit

Law360, New York (October 9, 2009, 6:54 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has upheld a decision barring a Mississippi man who lost his house during Hurricane Katrina from bringing a breach of contract suit against State Farm Fire & Casualty Co. because he had released his claims when he entered into a 2006 settlement agreement with the insurer.
