Court Not 'Neutral' On RyMed Trademark Claims

Law360, New York (October 12, 2009, 3:40 PM EDT) -- A federal court has found trademarks registered by RyMed Technologies Inc. invalid, clearing ICU Medical Inc. of charges of trademark infringement for using the term “neutral.”

The U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Thursday resolved all remaining claims and counterclaims and entered a judgment in favor of ICU.

U.S. District Judge Mariana R. Pfaelzer also ordered the director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to cancel registrations for RyMed's trademarks.
