Disney 'Talking Posters' Don't Infringe: Court

Law360, New York (October 13, 2009, 3:23 PM EDT) -- The Walt Disney Co. and several toy retailers have won a patent infringement suit brought by two inventors who claimed that “talking posters” featuring Disney Channel personalities infringed their patented technology.

Judge John D. Holschuh of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio on Friday granted Disney a summary judgment that the novelty posters adorned with images of Hannah Montana and the Cheetah Girls did not infringe a patent held by inventors Aaron Clark and John Peirano.
