Calpine To Offer $750M In Senior Notes

Law360, New York (October 13, 2009, 3:07 PM EDT) -- U.S. power producer Calpine Corp. plans to offer $750 million in senior secured notes in a private placement to holders of term loans under the company's existing credit facility.

The notes will be due in 2017 and guaranteed by each of the company's subsidiaries that is a guarantor on the credit facility, the company said Tuesday.

They will be secured by a first-priority lien on Calpine's current and future assets, it said.

As the offering is a private one, Calpine will not register the senior secured...
