Cancer Patient's Class Claims Against Insurer Stayed

Law360, New York (October 13, 2009, 1:12 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has stayed class allegations in two consolidated lawsuits brought by an Oklahoma cancer patient who claims that Life Investors Insurance Company of America, now known as Transamerica Life Insurance Co., wrongly denied him and other cancer patients payments on claims made under their policies.
