Health Care Bill Passes Senate Finance Committee

Law360, New York (October 13, 2009, 4:14 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate Finance Committee has voted 14-9 to approve the controversial bill that seeks to overhaul the U.S. health care system, shipping the matter off to the full Senate floor.

On Tuesday, the Finance Committee approved the America's Healthy Future Act by a healthy majority, with Sen. Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, as the only Republican to back the measure, various media outlets reported.
