Pharma Group Tries To Halt Pfizer-Wyeth Deal

Law360, New York (October 13, 2009, 4:31 PM EDT) -- A group of California pharmacies and pharmacists is seeking to block Pfizer Inc.’s proposed $68 billion buyout of rival Wyeth Inc., arguing that the merger will eliminate competition in the prescription drug market in the U.S. and stifle innovation for new drugs.
