Va. Utility Sues Comcast Over Pole Rental Rates

Law360, New York (October 13, 2009, 6:48 PM EDT) -- A Virginia utility company has hit a number of local Comcast Corp. subsidiaries in the state with allegations that the telecom giant failed to pay the right rental rates for its use of the utility's electric poles, resulting in damages of at least $10 million.

Virginia Electric & Power Co., which does business under the name Dominion Virginia Power, filed its complaint against Comcast of Virginia Inc. and five other affiliates in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia on Tuesday.
