Ford Ups Recalls Over Faulty Cruise Control Switch

Law360, New York (October 13, 2009, 6:21 PM EDT) -- Ford Motor Co. is recalling an additional 4.5 million vehicles because of concerns over a defective cruise control switch, bringing the total number of vehicles recalled over the faulty part in recent years to 16 million, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall includes 1995 to 2003 model year Ford Windstars, 2000 to 2003 model year Ford Excursion diesels, 1993 to 1997 and 1999 to 2003 Ford F-Super Duty diesels, and 1992 to 2003 Ford Econolines, the agency said.
