Every Penny Counts Asks High Court To Clarify Markman

Law360, New York (October 14, 2009, 5:50 PM EDT) -- Every Penny Counts Inc. has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to resolve what the patent-holding company claims is ongoing confusion over the application of the high court's 1996 ruling in Markman v. Westview Instruments, which EPC argues is reflected in two cases it is pursuing against credit card companies and gift card issuers.
