DOC To Mull Duties On Chinese, Taiwanese Fasteners

Law360, New York (October 15, 2009, 2:56 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has agreed to investigate possible trade remedies on standard steel fasteners from China and Taiwan in response to a request from a division of domestic steel producer Nucor Corp.

The Commerce Department's International Trade Administration on Wednesday announced plans to initiate an investigation into possible anti-dumping and countervailing duties on Chinese imports and possible anti-dumping duties on Taiwanese imports of the steel fasteners in question.
