DOC To Investigate Chinese, Indonesian Paper Imports

Law360, New York (October 16, 2009, 12:34 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce will initiate anti-dumping and countervailing duties investigations on Chinese and Indonesian coated paper imports in response to petitions from several companies and unions, the International Trade Administration has announced.

The International Trade Commission will conduct preliminary investigations related to coated free-sheet paper, coated groundwood paper and paperboard produced from bleached chemi-thermo-mechanical pulp to determine whether the import practices have harmed the domestic coated paper industry, the ITA said.
