Union Fees Infringe Professor's Free Speech: 2nd Circ.

Law360, New York (October 16, 2009, 1:57 PM EDT) -- Overturning a lower court decision, a federal appeals court has ruled that a union representing City University of New York employees improperly charged fees to a professor who did not belong to the union and who claimed the union's political activities infringed his First Amendment rights.
