CIT Affirms Commerce's Duties On Indian Film

Law360, New York (October 16, 2009, 5:29 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has denied MTZ Polyfilm Ltd.'s bid to overturn several decisions made by the U.S. Department of Commerce during its administrative review of countervailing duties imposed on polyethylene film imported from India.

Judge Evan Wallach of the U.S. Court of International Trade on Thursday upheld the Commerce Department's February 2008 final determination, ruling that the agency's “decisions are supported by substantial evidence and otherwise in accordance with law.”
