Pharma Group Renews Bid To Halt Pfizer-Wyeth Deal

Law360, New York (October 16, 2009, 1:08 PM EDT) -- A group of California pharmacies and pharmacists has picked up the sword again in its fight to block Pfizer Inc.’s proposed $68 billion buyout of rival Wyeth, filing an amended complaint after a judge ruled the plaintiffs had failed to support their claims that the merger will eliminate competition and stifle innovation in the U.S. prescription drug market.
