ITC Rejects Duties For Argentine Piston Parts

Law360, New York (October 19, 2009, 6:27 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has decided against imposing countervailing duties on imports from Argentina of piston inserts used in diesel engines, ruling that the imports do not injure or threaten U.S. industry.

The ITC said in a statement that the six commissioners voted unanimously Monday not to impose the duties. The U.S. Department of Commerce had earlier determined that the pistons were subsidized.
