Russian Co. Settles Investment Fight With UK Asset Manager

Law360, London (July 16, 2020, 5:46 PM BST) -- A Russian-owned company has settled its High Court claim against a British asset manager it accused of mismanaging its investments by sinking them into complex financial products, avoiding a November trial. 

Calle Marketing Inc., a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands and owned by Russian national Marina Shirokaya, agreed to a confidential settlement with Aldbourne Investment Advisors Ltd., according to a Tomlin order filed at the High Court on Monday. 

Judge Mark Pelling signed off on the order, dated July 10, and said the proceedings will be halted unless either side needs the court's help in enforcing or carrying out...
