Law360, London (July 15, 2020, 4:00 PM BST) -- Two liquidators have been appointed to oversee the winding down of failed Danish insurer Gefion, the country's financial watchdog said.
The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority said Tuesday that lawyers Troels Askerud and Søren Aamann Jensen had been appointed joint liquidators of the company.
The pair are, respectively, from Askerud & Partners and Kromann Reumert, two Copenhagen-based law firms. Neither company responded to a request for comment.
The DFSA said the company remained solvent.
"Gefion Insurance continues to operate such that existing policies continue to remain in force," it said in a statement.
