Ex-DOJ Civil Division Chief Joins Alston & Bird

Law360 (July 15, 2020, 7:33 PM EDT) -- Alston & Bird has hired Joseph "Jody" Hunt, who resigned this month as chief of the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Division, as senior counsel in its litigation and trial practice group, the firm said Wednesday.

Hunt, who left the Justice Department on July 3 after spending 21 years at the agency, will start at Alston & Bird LLP in August. He'll be based in the firm's offices in Atlanta and Washington, D.C., and have a particular focus on health care, False Claims Act investigations and other government-related matters, the firm said.
