Trans Man Tells Justices Catholic Hospital Distorted Bias Suit

Law360 (July 16, 2020, 6:01 PM EDT) -- A transgender man is urging the U.S. Supreme Court to pass on a Catholic hospital's attempt to derail his suit accusing the hospital operator of violating California discrimination law by canceling his hysterectomy, saying the hospital is distorting his case.

Evan Minton told the justices on Wednesday that Dignity Health "misrepresented" his case in an attempt to undo a California state appeals court ruling that Minton had made the baseline case that the hospital intentionally discriminated against him based on his gender when it canceled his procedure.
