Rutgers, Holding Cos. Spar Over Int'l Study Contracts

Law360, New York (October 20, 2009, 7:14 PM EDT) -- Rutgers University is seeking a declaratory judgment that it did not breach contracts with the operator of two international study firms, who accuses the school in a separate suit of wrongfully terminating its relationships with the firms as retaliation for publicizing the school's alleged tax transgressions.

David Barker, who ran Rutgers Business School's graduate MBA program in Singapore through holding company Executive Education LLC, said in a suit lodged Monday that Rutgers terminated his contract despite signing an extension through March 2011.
