MySpace And Parent News Corp. Facing Antitrust Suit

Law360 (November 3, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- One of the original investors in MySpace.com has filed an antitrust lawsuit against the Web site’s parent company, News Corp., accusing the media giant of trying to monopolize the U.S. market for social networking sites.

According to the lawsuit, News Corp. has systematically scoured MySpace for links to other social networking sites and deleted them, despite the Web site’s strategy of giving users free reign to post links and other material with abandon.
