Tricom Set To Exit Ch. 11 After Plan Gets OK

Law360, New York (October 21, 2009, 7:34 PM EDT) -- A bankruptcy judge signed off Wednesday on Dominican telecommunications company Tricom SA's reorganization plan, effectively ending the company's stay in bankruptcy court.

Judge Stuart M. Bernstein of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York approved several minor modifications to Tricom's second amended restructuring plan, which the company filed July 8. The judge said none of the changes required additional approvals from Tricom's creditors.

Tricom won approval of its second amended disclosure statement July 15.
