US Dye Importer Sues CBP Over Delay In Liquidation

Law360, New York (October 23, 2009, 5:20 PM EDT) -- A U.S. dye importer has alleged in a suit that the U.S. government failed to liquidate anti-dumping duties assessed to a Chinese dye manufacturer, potentially leaving the importer open to an exponentially higher margin rate.

Aakash Chemicals & Dye-Stuffs Inc. filed a complaint on Thursday in the U.S. Court of International Trade, alleging U.S. Customs and Border Protection has not yet liquidated entries of a certain kind of pigment manufactured by China-based Goldlink Industries Co. Ltd., and the deadline to do so has passed.
