Lucent Resists Adelphia In Document Dispute

Law360, New York (November 6, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Arguing that it has already given Adelphia Communication Corp. all necessary documents, Lucent Technologies Inc. is fighting to keep the bankrupt telecommunications company away from e-mails and documents kept private under attorney-client privileges.

On Friday, Lucent opposed Adelphia’s request for a court order forcing Lucent to give up more documents. The company contended that it had already complied with all applicable law in responding to the “voluminous discovery requests of Adelphia.”
