NJ Court Cleans Up Water Usage Rules For Farms

Law360, New York (October 23, 2009, 5:54 PM EDT) -- A state appeals court in New Jersey has clarified water usage rules for the state's farms, partially reversing new regulations adopted by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

The Superior Court of New Jersey said Wednesday the DEP's regulatory amendments changing the role of county agents and introducing specific wetlands protection requirements for farmers went beyond the department's powers.
