SEC Sends ICAP Wells Notice On Fixed Income Claims

Law360, New York (October 23, 2009, 6:30 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has handed a Wells notice to British inter-dealer broker ICAP PLC announcing its intention to bring an enforcement action for alleged securities violations in the market for fixed income securities.

The New York Regional Office of the SEC provided ICAP Securities USA LLC, a subsidiary of ICAP PLC, with the notice on Thursday, ICAP said.

The notice relates to an existing SEC investigation into the market in certain fixed income securities that has been ongoing since 2005, according to ICAP....
