Praxair Accuses Supplier Of Floating Off With $4.9M

Law360, New York (October 26, 2009, 3:14 PM EDT) -- Industrial gas manufacturer Praxair Inc. has sued supplier Mountain States Petroleum Corp. for allegedly reneging on a $4.9 million deal to upgrade a helium plant and supply Praxair with gas.

Praxair's suit, filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, includes breach of contract and fraud among its causes of action, and asks the court for exemplary damages beyond the $4.9 million the company is allegedly out.
