Applied Imaging Seeks Change Of Venue In Patent Suit

Law360, New York (April 16, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Microscope vendor Applied Imaging has filed a motion in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California to transfer the pending patent infringement litigation filed by rival ChromaVision Medical Systems to Northern California federal court.

A hearing on the company’s request to transfer the case is scheduled for late May.

ChromaVision’s lawsuit, filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, accused Applied Imaging's ARIOL SL-50 system of infringing three ChromaVision patents.
