Psystar Aims At Apple Over Snow Leopard OS

Law360, New York (October 29, 2009, 3:39 PM EDT) -- Computer maker Psystar Corp. has filed an amended antitrust complaint against Apple Inc. over use of its Mac OS X Snow Leopard operating system.

Psystar filed the complaint Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, seeking the right to resell copies of Snow Leopard on its own machines.

Doral, Fla.-based Psystar manufactures computers it says outperform comparable Macintoshes sold by Apple. The company's computers are capable of running Microsoft Windows, Linux and Mac OS X operating systems.
