DRS Data, NCS Pearson Settle Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 22, 2003, 12:00 AM EDT) -- DRS Data & Research Services PLC settled its outstanding patent litigation with Pearson PLC's educational unit NCS Pearson Inc., AFX reported.

Under the terms of the agreement, DRS has agreed to withdraw its revocation action in respect of the patents, while NCS has agreed to grant a licence to DRS to use the patents and to sell its online grading products, according to AFX.
