Alcesia Loses Bid For ITC Review Of Cigarette Ban

Law360, New York (October 29, 2009, 1:48 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has refused to take a second look at a recent ruling that prohibits Alcesia SRL and 12 other importers from bringing unlicensed Philip Morris USA-brand cigarettes into the United States.

In an order on Wednesday, the ITC denied a petition for reconsideration from the Moldova-based Alcesia, finding that the request “neither raises new questions nor presents arguments that Alcesia has not made in previous briefing.”
