Texas Ban On Smokable Hemp Kept On Ice Until Feb. Trial

By Sam Reisman (September 18, 2020, 8:52 PM EDT) -- A Texas state judge ordered a temporary injunction on Friday that will block the state's prohibition on smokable hemp products until a lawsuit over it can go to trial in February.

Judge Lora J. Livingston of Texas' 261st County District Court told the parties in a letter Thursday that she would enjoin the state from enforcing the rule, following a previous temporary restraining order that had been in effect since late August.
