Law360, New York (October 29, 2009, 4:59 PM EDT) -- JPMorgan Chase NA has lashed out against an appeal by a group of paper carriers who settled a class action against the newspaper publisher in 2008 of a bankruptcy court's decision to allow Freedom Communications Holdings Inc. to use prepetition lenders' cash collateral in the company's Chapter 11 case.
In an objection filed Wednesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, JPMorgan said the paper carriers' appeal sought “extraordinary relief” and should be denied.
