More Study Needed To Link Drywall To Illness: CPSC

Law360, New York (October 29, 2009, 4:43 PM EDT) -- An early study by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has declined to point the finger at Chinese drywall for various ailments suffered by homeowners where it was installed.

Chinese drywall shows elevated levels of certain elements compared with non-Chinese drywall, the CPSC said in a report released Thursday, but the agency declined to tie those levels to health impacts or reported metal corrosion.
