Qualcomm Staffers' Lies Led To Scandal: Counsel

Law360, New York (November 3, 2009, 4:52 PM EST) -- Attorneys who represented Qualcomm Inc., facing sanctions for failing to hand over a mound of evidence during discovery for a patent infringement suit, have blamed the breach on company employees who allegedly lied to them.

With attorney-client privilege lifted, the lawyers for the first time on Monday provided a glimpse into their side of the discovery debacle that rocked their now-defunct firm, Day Casebeer Madrid Batchelder LLP, in filings in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.
