United Air To Settle Passenger Price-Fixing Suits

Law360, New York (November 8, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Two months after reaching settlements in class action lawsuits alleging violations of antitrust laws in connection with air cargo price-fixing, United Airlines has entered into agreements to settle similar suits relating to passenger pricing.

United’s holding company, UAL Corp., announced the agreements Wednesday in documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and explained further details about the air cargo settlements that came to light in September.
