Generic Allegra To Remain On The Market

Law360 (November 8, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A U.S. appeals court has affirmed without comment a lower court ruling that will allow Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. to continue selling generic versions of allergy drug Allegra.

The ruling, handed down Wednesday by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, denied a preliminary injunction sought by French drug maker Sanofi-Aventis to prevent rivals from making generic versions of the allergy drug while it sues them for patent infringement.
