Jury Convicts Former U.S. Foodservice Exec

Law360, New York (November 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A jury on Wednesday convicted the former marketing chief of U.S. Foodservice Inc. of conspiracy, securities fraud and false filing crimes in connection with an $800 million accounting scheme that exaggerated the unit’s earnings.

Mark P. Kaiser, 49, will be sentenced in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in February. His conviction came after a trial that lasted about a month.
