7-Eleven Sues Insurer Over Subrogation Claim

Law360, New York (November 4, 2009, 7:44 PM EST) -- Convenience store chain 7-Eleven Inc. has filed suit against American International Specialty Lines Insurance Co. for coverage under its pollution legal liability policy of a subrogation claim the insurer made against it for an investigation into a petroleum spill on land near property owned by 7-Eleven that AISLIC also insured.

The plaintiff sued AISLIC in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas Tuesday, seeking a declaratory judgment that the insurer is required to cover it for the costs of the subrogation claim....
