Palm Loses Bid To Stay Patent Suit Until ITC Ruling

Law360, New York (November 4, 2009, 6:47 PM EST) -- Palm Inc. on Wednesday lost a bid to stay a patent infringement suit with Saxon Innovations LLC until the resolution of an U.S. International Trade Commission case because a judge found that the issues in the two proceedings were different.

Magistrate Judge John D. Love of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas ruled that although Palm is a respondent in the ITC investigation, it is not accused there of infringing the patent involved in the case at hand.
