SK Foods Exec To Plead Guilty To Tomato Scam

Law360, New York (November 5, 2009, 3:25 PM EST) -- A former senior executive of tomato processor SK Foods LP has agreed to plead guilty to participating in a four-year conspiracy to bribe major food producers and fix prices, according to federal prosecutors.

Alan Scott Huey, 53, a former senior vice president of SK Foods, has also agreed to cooperate with the government's ongoing probe of the tomato industry as part of his plea deal. He is the second executive of the Monterey, Calif.-based company and one of a number of people to be charged in...
