Ex-GM Exec Pleads Guilty In $6.5M Kickback Scheme

Law360, New York (November 5, 2009, 6:25 PM EST) -- A fugitive former General Motors Corp. commodity manager has returned to the United States after evading custody for more than a year, pleading guilty Thursday in a kickback and fraud scheme involving the sale of bulk aluminum.

Daniel J. Bealko, GM’s former global commodity manager for lightweight metals, could face up to 25 years in prison as a result of his guilty pleas, the U.S. Department of Justice said.
