Motorola To Get $20M As Part Of WLAN Patent Deal

Law360, New York (November 6, 2009, 3:43 PM EST) -- Aruba Networks Inc. said Friday that it would pay $19.75 million to settle a patent dispute with Motorola Inc. and three of its subsidiaries over wireless networking technology.

In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Aruba said that as part of the settlement, the companies would provide one another with seven-year licenses to each of their respective 802.11 wireless local area network patent portfolios.
