Essar Seeks Reconsideration Of Steel Duties

Law360, New York (November 6, 2009, 2:17 PM EST) -- Essar Steel Ltd. has asked the U.S. Court of International Trade to order the government to reconsider duties on hot-rolled carbon steel flat products imported from India in 2007.

In a motion on Wednesday, Essar asked the CIT to remand final results in a countervailing duty administrative review to the U.S. Department of Commerce to recalculate the benefit Essar received from India's National Mineral Development Corp.
