Voice Signal Shoots Off Suit Over Dictation Patent

Law360 (November 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Voice interface company Voice Signal Technologies Inc. has tied up a speech recognition company and a slew of distributors and resellers in a patent infringement suit over dictation software used in computers and mobile devices.

Voice Signal, which mainly does business in Woborn, Mass., filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Nuance Communications Inc., distributors and resellers, including Best Buy Co. Inc. and Circuit City Stores Inc.
