ITC Rejects Request For Steel Fastener Duties

Law360, New York (November 9, 2009, 1:31 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has ended an investigation into steel fasteners from China and Taiwan, saying there is no reasonable indication that American companies are materially injured or threatened with material injury as a result of the imports.

The ITC's commissioners voted 6-0 against imposing anti-dumping and countervailing duties, the agency said on Friday.

However, a public report containing the specific views of the commission and information developed during the investigation will not be available for a couple more weeks.
